I - Must be a
member of the appropriate local Better Business Bureau. If the company
is not already a BBB member, you can apply for BBB membership at the same time
as BBBOnLine Reliability. Completing the BBBOnLine Reliability application form
will serve both purposes.
Step II - Ensure you meet the BBBOnLine
Reliability Program Eligibility Criteria
The company must be based or have a physical presence in the United States or
Canada.
The company must have been in business for a minimum of one year (An exception
can be made if a new business is a spinoff or a division of an existing business,
which is known to and has a positive track record with the BBB.)
The company must have a satisfactory complaint handling record with the Better
Business Bureau.
The company must agree to all of the BBBOnLine Reliability Requirements.
Step III - Submit your Business Application Complete the
online application form, which provides us with information regarding company
ownership, management, address and contact information for the business. The application
will be forwarded to the BBB serving your area. The information provided may be
verified by the Better Business Bureau in a visit to the company's physical premises.
Step IV - Sign Participation Agreement and pay program fee.
There is a license fee for participating in BBBOnLine Reliability. BBBOnLine
Reliability fees vary based on the size of the company. Pricing information can

Step V - Install the Reliability Seal on your website
After your Web site has been reviewed and your company has been approved
you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to install the seal on your
website.
